If you are a heavy LinkedIN user, you must have seen the term LION. LION stands for LinkedIn Open Networker. Some people add the letters LION to their names to invite other LinkedIn users to join their networks.

LinkedIN only allows you to add someone you know or have a work relationship with. When you see someone with a LION name, feel free to add them to your network without worrying about a denied request.

Now granted, some people may rarely still deny others because LION is not a standard law used by the LinkedIn company. So, don’t be surprised if that ever happened, but in general, adding LION users is a safe way of growing your network.
